Wilson Kwong, CEO of HACTL, has been appointed Director of Hong Kong Transport Services for the MTR, effective January 28, 2026.
Kwong joined HACTL in 2018, having previously served as CEO of Jardine Engineering Corporation from 2012 to 2018 and CEO of Raffles Quay Asset Management from 2009 to 2012. He is currently the Chairman of the Hong Kong Federation of Employees and the Chairman of the KHongm Transport General Committee and the Chairman of the Hongm Loongs General Committee.
“This was a very difficult decision for me, after eight exciting years leading the world’s leading air cargo ground handling company,” said Kwong. “But I feel the time is right to take on a new challenge outside of air cargo, and make room for a new leader to put his stamp on this iconic business.”
“I am proud to leave Hectel in the best possible shape – a dedicated, hard-working team that is simply the best in the business. Until I leave, my team and I will continue to work together to deliver the service excellence that Hectel is known for.”
Dr. Jacob Kam, CEO of MTR Corporation, succeeding Jenny Yong, welcomed Kong to the company on January 1, 2026.
“Mr. Kwong has extensive management experience in various sectors including engineering, aviation, logistics, real estate development and asset management. I am confident that he will lead the team to build on our current foundation to reach new heights and continue to raise MTR’s service standards to serve our passengers.”
