GEODIS won the Italian “Logistico del Enno 2025” award

• GEODIS, in partnership with Plenitude, won the “Logistico dell’Anno 2025” circular logistics award from Assologistica for its customer-focused PV logistics solution in Italy.
• The project proposes a trunk kit for residential solar installations, improving efficiency, reducing transmission risks and supporting the full circular cycle through panel collection, evaluation and recycling.
• GEODIS is strengthening its position in the Italian market with annual sales of €400 million, 1,500 employees and 30 operational sites nationwide.

In partnership with Plenitude, GEODIS was honored with the Assologistica Circular Logistics Award for “enhancing and improving the customer experience”. GEODIS, a global leader in transportation and logistics services, was announced as the winner of the “Logistico del Anno 2025” award at the annual ceremony organized by Isologica in Milan on November 21.

These awards, given annually by Isologitica, the isological department for culture and training, and EuroMercy magazine, honor companies that distinguish themselves in their fields. GEODIS received the award for “enhancing and improving the customer experience” in the circular and shared logistics category.

The latest project developed by GEODIS in Italy with its customer Plenitude, a subsidiary of Eni, focuses on reducing time to market and adopting cutting-edge technologies to install residential PV systems.

The innovative solution consists of an integrated kit for end users, which combines individually designed components and assembles them into one board.

This solution aims to improve operational efficiency and environmental sustainability, and relies on close cooperation with partners and customers. This reduces the risk of incomplete deliveries, simplifies inventory management, and increases product turnover, creating positive impacts on the customer’s working capital.

For commercial, industrial and public management customers, the project includes collection and evaluation of used PV panels, storage and disposal of non-recoverable materials, ensuring commitment to the full circular logistics cycle.

“It is an honor for us to receive this prestigious and highly sought-after award in our industry,” said Maurizio Portolan, Managing Director of GEODIS in Italy.

“GEODIS in Italy is experiencing a period of great growth. Receiving this award is a testament to the skill and experience we have started and as an incentive to continue our journey with great passion and dedication.”

This award highlights the significant presence of GEODIS in the Italian market, where the business is divided into contract logistics, freight forwarding and road transport. With 1,500 employees generating annual sales of 400 million euros, the headquarters are in Milan and the organization operates 30 sites throughout the country.
