Crispin Orr has been appointed as the new non-executive director of the UK Civil Aviation Authority

With more than 25 years of aviation safety experience, including his most recent role as the AAIB’s Chief Air Accident Inspector, Orr’s appointment reinforces the CAA’s commitment to safety and innovation.

The UK Civil Aviation Authority has confirmed the appointment of Crispin Orr as its new non-executive director to its board.

Crispin Orr has over 25 years of experience in aviation safety, most recently in his position as a senior air accident investigator for the Air Accident Investigation Branch. This appointment supports the Civil Aviation Authority’s commitment to the highest standards of safety and public protection in aviation and airspace in the UK.

Sir Stephen Hillier, Chief Executive of the UK Civil Aviation Authority, said:
